Amount of food consumed will vary based on activity level, age, breed and environment.

Add approximately 1/2 cup for every 10 lbs over 100 lbs daily feeding. Consult your veterinarian if you believe your dog is too thin or overweight and be sure to have clean, fresh water available for your dog at all times.

Puppies: Puppies may start nibbling Kinetic performance dog food at around 4 – 5 weeks of age. You may feed it dry but moistening may improve acceptance. Self – feeding may be started at any time after weaning. If puppies are on a feeding schedule rather than self – feeding, feed them 3 times daily for the first 6 months and 2 times per day thereafter. Puppies may be fed up to 2 – 3 times the amount of food in the Adult Feeding Recommendation depending on age and body condition.

Pregnant Females: Using the Suggested Feeding plan, offer 50% more food than the recommended feeding amount.

Lactating Females: Using the Suggested Feeding plan, offer 2 – 3 times the recommended feeding amount.

Transition Instructions
When transitioning to a new pet food, do so slowly over a period of about 7-10 days, mixing an increasing amount of new food with old food each day: Start with 75% old food mixed with 25% new food for approximately three days. Then mix 50% old with 50% new for approximately three days.

Is Kinetic only for working and sporting dogs?
Kinetic is an excellent food for non – sporting dogs provided you choose the appropriate formula. Kinetic Active 26K is an excellent all – purpose formula for companion dogs provided they’re not overfed. The performance nutrition provides the same health benefits to your house dog as it does for sporting dogs.

Why is Kinetic called a “performance dog food”?
Kinetic is called a performance dog food because it’s very nutrient dense and was formulated to specifically address the higher stress needs of hard working and extremely active dogs.

Isn’t whole chicken better than chicken meal?
Not in our opinion. Unlike chicken meal, whole chicken is approximately 85% water and requires another meat protein source immediately after it on the ingredient list to ensure adequate meat protein. Chicken meals contain almost no moisture to ensure your dog gets more meat and less water.

Why did you put chicken by – product meal in Kinetic? Aren’t by – products bad?
Chicken by – product meal is 1 of 4 animal protein sources we put in Kinetic. The reason we put it in is, quite simply, we tested formulas both with and without chicken by – product meal and dogs did better on the formulas that included chicken by – product meal. While some by – products can be poor quality, our chicken by – product meal is an excellent source of protein for dogs and a natural source of glucosamine.

What Type of Fish Meal is in Kinetic?
Kinetic is made with only high quality Menhaden Fish Meal.

Does your food have DHA or Glucosamine in it?
Kinetic has both DHA and Glucosamine in it that are derived from natural sources. We do not add artificially sourced supplements of these ingredients in any of our formulas.

Are all your ingredients from the USA?
All our ingredients are from the US with the exception of certain vitamins and minerals that cannot be sourced inside the US.

Does your food have prebiotics and/or probiotics?
Kinetic formulas include prebiotics to enhance digestive health but do not include active culture probiotics because they generally do not survive the manufacturing process.

How much Kinetic dog food do you recommend feeding to start?
One measuring cup per day for every 20 lbs of body weight is a good starting point. From there, we recommending adjusting the feeding amount based on the body condition of your dog.

How do I transition from my current food over to Kinetic?
If you’re moving from 1 Kinetic formula to another you can switch immediately with no adverse effects. For other foods, we recommend mixing progressively smaller quantities of the current food with the larger quantities of Kinetic over a period of 10 days until the dog is completely on Kinetic.
